Handprint T-Shirt

Use a 100% cotton t-shirt and fabric paint. Also, have the kids wear old clothes or smocks since the fabric paint might get on whatever they are wearing. Pour some of the paint onto plates and have the children put their flat hand into it. Then press their hands onto the shirt. Sign and date the shirt so Dad can see how much they have grown as the years go buy.

Make an Apron

If the Dad in your home likes to grill, he would love a personal apron. You can find plain white aprons at a craft store. Decorate it using fabric paint and brushes to write fun and loving sentiments on it.

Take out an Ad

Purchase a small ad in a neighborhood paper. They usually do not cost very much. Share your family's love for their father for all to see. Cut the ad out and put it in a small frame so Dad can keep it on his desk or dresser.

Plan a Family Outing

Do something that Dad loves to do. Perhaps you could go on a bike ride or take him on picnic. If he likes to fish or go golfing, join him on Father's Day. Even if it isn't the entire family's favorite activity, he will love that everyone tried it for him.

Start a Dad Fund

Sometimes men seem to like big and fancy gadgets that cost lots of money. It might not be possible to buy him his dream now but you could start a jar to save money towards it. If a little is contributed at a time, it will eventually add up. He will be delighted that his happiness means something to the entire family.
